	Bob's Family Raceway Clarksville MI USA 06-26-05 Jan and Shifter are aready at Bob's when I get there. I know Roger is on his way, and that ATVnut and Sidewinder Bill are coming. That turned out to be the field. The heat at 10:30 wasn't bad, and I thought we may have lucked out, but by race time the temperature had gotten to the stifling heat we've had for the past week or more. 	The heat race start was lead by the Shifter, with me and AtvNut battling for second into turn 1. I get it out of 2 while 'Nut, Jan, SW Bill, and Roger go at it. We settle into that order and I'm amazed I can even keep Shifter in sight! Knowing the track helps me, along with the fact that the track doesn't really reward horsepower. About 2/3 of the way through the heat, Tom starts taking an extremely high line into the corners, allowing me to make up ground. Pic - Jan gets into my left rear hard enough to flip me
	I'm almost to him when he goes into 3 REAL HIGH. I'm not too confident I'll be able to pass because wide out of 4 puts you on the inside line into 5, until I see him disappear over the lip of the track! When he gets on the gas, it steps out a bit. When he catches it, it snaps back and points him off the track. He comes back on in 3rd, behind 'Nut. Even then, I expected to hear that WAIL fly by me at any time, but anyone whose chased Jeff can tell you his buggy must be 10 feet wide, so we finish odypilots 1st, AtvNut 2nd, Shifter 3rd, Jan 4th, SW Bill 5th, getting used to AtvNut's LT 350, and Roger 6th. 	The main starts with Shifter getting a BETTER hole shot then the heat, with me, Bill, Jan, AtvNut, and Roger behind him. I slide out just a bit out of turn 4, and Bill is past for 2nd. It turns out he was learning the 350 during the heat race. He's a quick study! Going into turn 7, I get hit a TON by Jan, and it rolls me. I am pretty upset (did I mention a TON), and since we didn't complete a lap, it's a full restart. Pic - Into turn 1 after the restart
	I'm trying to get Bob's attention to check the corner of my buggy I got hit in, but can't. It's a good thing. The impact has split my rim, with sharp edges jabbed in the sidewall. He probably would have had me pull off. Roger, taking meds that say stay out of the sun, calls it a day. Pic - I like this! AtvNut is in a great spot here, in touch with 2 machines, and ready to capitalize on any mistakes.
	The restart has Shifter nailing the start again with me 2nd. SW Bill and AtvNut have a side by side battle that's finally resolved with Bill taking 3rd place into turn 5. Jeff, however, puts his soon to be patented inside move out of turn 8, and gets wound up first to win the drag race into 1. he shadows me for a couple of laps, then I ease away into that no mans land, back from Shifter, but ahead of 'Nut, SW Bill, and Jan. 	Coming onto the back straight, I noticed there was no roost from the Beast. It turns out a CV let go. It's a bummer for Tom, but it moves me to the lead. Bill starts putting pressure on 'Nut, but Jeff's up to it. Three or four laps to go, and they are hard at it. The last lap 'nut pulls out a bit.
