Well, it's ready, or ready enough to test. The wiring is just patched together with a Pilot harness, which was the first plan, but Jeff is leaning toward lifting the Honda wiring out, and making a custom harness. Picture: Jeff and HIS baby.
The starter works great, and is the only item controlled by the stock Honda ignition key,at this point. The engine's only "kill switch" is the DESS tether, on a panel at the driver's right shoulder. The stock kill switch and all steering yoke lights except low fuel could be active. The flip choke from the sled's dash is also located on this panel. Main jets were dropped to #480, 2 sizes down from the #500s that were in the carbs out of the sled. It still seems too fat, but I'd rather jet down from too rich, than up from lean. Picture: Uni filters clean the intake air.
Friday will be a odds and ends type of day, installing the nerfs and rear bumper. A few more wiring terminals that aren't used need taping up. That sort of thing, and make it's first hard running during practice for Sat. afternoon's race at I-96. Picture: A wide view of the rear of the car.
